Welcome to our webpage

The Jefferson County Anti-Drug Abuse Coalition is a nonprofit organization that focuses on educating our community about the dangers of drug/alcohol abuse.  It also provides some activities for our youth with an emphasis on awareness of those dangers.  Other activities include community education, advocacy and securing appropriate funding for our future activities.

The Coalition is a member of the Statewide Prevention Coalition Association (SPCA) and also a member of the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA).  The Coalition began in October of 2001.

Mission Statement

The youth and their families, as well as other residents of Jefferson County, will live in a thriving, nuturing community in which they are valued and protected, free from the threat of alcohol and other drug abuse.

The Coalition will bring together all the investors of the community - law enforcement, judiciary and government officials, businesses, social service organizations, faith-based organizations, schools, senior citizens, parents and youth - to strengthen the factors within self, family, school and community to foster resiliency to all forms of self-destructive behavior.  Pro-social choices will be embraced, instilling hope in our community while also creating the best possible opportunity for youth to develop into strong, contributing citizens and leaders.
